Hong Kong Book Fair 2026 returns with the theme - Reading the World: Cultural Legacy

36th Hong Kong Book Fair will be taking place from 15 – 21 July 2026 at Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre. The event will be held under the theme “Reading the World: Cultural Legacy | Joyful Journeys.” It will feature literary works that can inspire explorations, help to preserve culture and bring people together from various cultures.

A Story and Heritage Festival

The Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC) is the organizer of this year's festival and the event promises to be an interesting one with books, meetings with authors, discussions, exhibitions, and other literary events. People will have a chance to read about stories related to various cultures and travels through books.

Book Fair is Not All About Books!

Besides the rich library of books, more than 600 cultural events are scheduled to take place during the book fair, ranging from workshops and seminars to launches and interactive sessions with famous authors and experts in the field. The designated World of Art and Culture will help demonstrate the link between literature, fine arts, and history.

Hong Kong Book Fair for People of All Ages

Besides the book fair, there is also the Hong Kong Sports and Leisure Expo and the World of Snacks that offer yet another reason to attend this event. Families, students, and bibliophiles can enjoy both literary, entertainment, food, and lifestyle aspects making it one of the largest cultural festivals held annually in Hong Kong.

This year the Hong Kong Book Fair will feature several hundred exhibitors offering a variety of programs dedicated to reading, creativity, and cultural exchange.
